As a private student of master Rickson Gracie and a professionally trained instructor by the Gracie family themselves, I see it as my duty and privilege to preserve and share the art of Jiu-Jitsu.
The water stone way is an immersion to the core of what makes the gentle art. With a one hour class structure and a curriculum that is less set series of techniques as it is a showcase for the underpinnings that make the techniques themselves work, students will be guided through the principles of:
Understanding BASE and its application in all positions.
Managing the distance for timing and control of the MIDDLE.
Applying LEVERAGE in place of strength.
Using CONNECTION in place of speed.
The foundations of invisible Jiu-Jitsu are all encompassing and transmutable. When presented correctly, they have the power to translate into all aspects of life. From competitive sport application to business and stress management, the water stone way helps students to see the way broadly.
Showcased within the original Gracie self defense syllabus structure, students will be physically, verbally and visually guided in an intimate one on one format through the invisible aspects of Jiu-Jitsu.
This course is NOT open to the public. Classes will be available by application only and are limited to purposely low student numbers. Using a 30 lesson curriculum spread out in a rotational order over 9 available class times, students will personally be guided through each lesson.
Attention will be given where it is needed individually for the benefit of each student.
The most efficient way to understand is to FEEL more than DO.
